At the time, he was primarily interested in experimenting with words. As a younger fellow, Finch wrote a lot of poems and short stories. His interest in writing fiction began as a passion for the English language. He was also drawn to history, politics, and English. It was the one constant companion upon which Finch to lean during his formative years. Because he lived in so many places as a child, reading gave him stability. Reading and writing have been a part of Finch’s life for as long as he can remember. This encouraged the author to write more novels set in Victorian Era England. The book was recognized by Library Journal, Agatha, and Nero Awards.
